Beejuice Café @ Wilderness Station  ...... (honey – the nectar of the gods .....)

The menu reads … welcome to all our friends, friends to be, locals, visitors, tourists and people who are not friends but enjoy our food anyway .... Family is also welcome ........

We are passionate about good company, food & drink.  There is no better way to enjoy our beautiful surroundings & South African sunshine, then to share a tapas platter, something to drink and of course a few good laughs!!  INDULGE & ENJOY ......

This is Beejuice Café in a nutshell ........

This quant restaurant in the old station building is full of character and warm welcomes.

An interesting menu of very yummy breakfasts, salads, sandwiches, tapas, platters and unexpected gourmet black board offerings such as the already well known “beeburger” with fresh home made beef patty full of secret spices, mushrooms, caramelized onions with pomegranate, served on a roosterkoek and  Masala potato wedges on the side.  Everything is fresh and definitely NOT frozen – the kitchen does not even own a microwave oven!!

Evenings include soups, karoo lamb pie, ouma’s very own chicken pie, vegetarian lasagne,   bredies and much more traditional fare.

Specialty evenings on Fridays with live music and a selection of curries ......

Sundays a harvest table is added from 12h00 offering leg of lamb, roasts, fresh veggies, salads .......  Hurry – as we do not believe in preparing masses of food at a time.

Sweet treats include the most decadent baked cheese cake, dark chocolate roulade, banoffi pie with flambé bananas, peppermint crisp tart & several other treats,  depending on the chefs’ mood.

A modest wine list is on offer with several of the wines per glass (in fact a 230ml carafe), local Darling Brew beers, good coffee, smoothies, milk shakes and some other stronger stuff.

Out of the Wilderness village, close to the beach and within walking distance from the village, it offers open sunny decks and although you do not see the ocean you can hear it – for cold miserable days the restaurant features an old original fire place and of course a few tables on the platform for when (hopefully) the train arrives ......
